To do the same border, execute in terminal “gconf-editor”, go to App>>Gwd, then edit the Opacities options: metacity_theme_opacity edits the all windows opacity, and metacity_theme_active_opacity will edit the actives (focused) windows.
Should edit the number to 0 (100% transparent) to 1 (100% opacity). I hope I helped.
